Delivering For Dominoes Rules!!!

I just started working at Dominoes this week doing delivery and I must say, the money is damn good. In my first 4 days, I am pulling in about $14.70 an hour, about half of that is under the table. For just 27 hours of work I pulled in just under $400, $181 of that in tips (only about $30 of that recorded for taxes). Debt free here I come! ::w00t::

On a side note, a lot of people out there are cheap and only tip $2, including the $1.95 that is added for delivery (driver only gets $1 of that). Also, I now make more than my mom does by $3 per hour.

Yep delivering food or bussing for a higher end restuarant really brings in bank. I bus for a high end restuarant and make an avg. of $20/hr BUT they're only working me like ~16hrs a week.

I work 25-32 hours a week. I also go to school full time taking 14 college credits. Atleast I do my deliveries in my Geo (30-50 MPG). I would do it in the Supra, but it would cost me a fortune in gas and some of the side roads around here are unpaved and have large pot holes as a result (so not cool). Besides, I'm still the fastest driver at my store. My deliveries are a max of 3 miles away, mostly 35 MPH zones. I put on about 80 miles in a shift, also another thing I wouldn't do to my Supra.

People are cheap in OR. A buddy of mine delivers for Papa John's and makes ~$500 a week, 20 hours. Still damn sweet, all you do is drive around and get paid.

When I'm not driving I'm doing dishes, putting boxes together, taking orders, or putting labels on boxes.

I think I would hate delivering pizza too much to do it. Plus that wage isn't really sweetening the deal, IMO. I guess it depends on where you live, etc. It could be fun for a bit, but I'd get sick of it I think.
