Actually, where I live I have no duty to retreat - if you use violence against me, I'm assuming you wish to do me grievous harm or worse. I will do what I have to in order to end that threat.



So what constitutes "asking for an ass kicking" in your book? Where I live, the moment you initiate violence, you're in the wrong.

As for the targets - nobody cares - the best gunfight you can have is the one you avoid. However, once again, your right to your life ends when you threaten mine. For what it's worth I've nailed 3 deer on the run at 75ish yards....retrieved all 3....that may not apply too this but adrenolin rush and still present and I have full faith in my abilities

Nobody is dreaming of shooting someone. The next last thing I want to do on this earth is do harm to another person. However the one thing that I want to do less is to allow someone to harm me. I have a 100% certain way you can avoid getting shot by me, don't direct violence at me.

Nope, they start the confrontation with the stares. Again, constitutes a confrontation because it makes my family uncomfortable. I step in, break their gaze with my body, and if my gun is openly displayed, it will be obvious. If it isn't, whatever they see under my coat, they see. Point is, I'm not the one shouting obscenities in Spanish (if that IS what they say to my wife). They don't know her, she can't speak Spanish, they have no business talking to her AT ALL.
