No, I don't feel threatened because they're Mexican. I feel threatened because they leer at me, and because it's been largely Mexican men who've been aggressive with me or tried something with me.

Like I've already said, it would make no difference to me what the skin color was. When a man's behavior makes me feel threatened, it makes me feel threatened. It -has- happened with white men. Once or twice. After living in Yuma, Arizona, that's a raindrop in relation to a swimming pool.

I'm sorry if that gets you in a wad and makes you want to cry "racism!", but it's your own issue, in the end. I know I'm not racist. Simply aware of my surroundings when it comes to men - as a woman, you kind of have to be.

My girl's blessed with a devine booty, and everywhere we go, she gets looks and stares. Sure it used to bother me at first, but why should I suffer because of them? I give her a nice pinch or smack on the ass to show everyone she's mine. I haven't had anyone confront us (although she's had guys walk up to her, she declines nicely and goes on her merry way), I've heard comments before, sure it bothers me, but I'm the kind of person that completely loses it when they fight and am capable of anything. I really don't go into detail about this sort of thing on internet forums - for one thing, victim-blamers like to call me a racist .

But if you'll read back a page or two, I've already given examples. And it wouldn't matter if ALL they'd ever done was stare. It's still something more prevalent in groups of Mexican men than in groups of white, black, Asian or any other group of man, and that's what the thread is about. Hell, some Mexican men will even admit that this is how they commonly behave in Mexico. I was told the less aggressive/predatory stare is supposed to be a compliment.

And, regardless of where you take your next post, you've already ruined any point you could possibly make, as far as I'm concerned. Someone who's cool with his wife being objectified by strangers simply because she has large breasts really has no business being in a conversation about what makes a woman feel as though her livelihood/body are in danger of violation by men. No offense meant to your relationship - if she's cool with it, too, that's your guys' own personal business.

I think we've made a complete circle now. I'll repeat a couple of things, then I'm going to have to let you believe whatever it makes you feel happy/righteous/justified to believe. Otherwise, we'll be at this all day.

Thread - the Mexican men in particular who make inappropriate staring a habit.

Fact - Mexican men are almost always the ones who stare at me, hence my husband talking about them staring at HIS wife. It's an observation, and an honest one.

Rereading may prove me wrong, but I think I'm the one who bluntly broadened it to say that -many- Mexican men do this to women in general, because I'm not going to pretend I don't see it happening to other women, or that it's not something female friends of mine complain about, simply to spare feelings. Are you offended by the commentary? I'm offended by the leering. Either way, I've admitted that white men have made me feel this way as well. It's just nowhere near as common.

If you don't agree that Mexican men make staring a habit more than other races of men, that's aces with me. Could be I'm wrong, and it's been nothing but a few consecutive years of coincidence. Could be I'm right, and you just don't see it. But saying I'm a racist because I can observe what people around me are doing is ridiculous. I wouldn't have this opinion if I didn't see it happen over and over.
