well heres the story, about the start of summer there was this kid that had just got a brand new evo 8 mr for a graduation present from his partens. As soon as he got the car he started talking shit saying his car was way faster then mine and had never even seen my car. I took the high road and just didnt say anything (plus my car was down anyway :cry: ). Now i got my car running and i was do my daily driving around town when i see this guy rolling down the street. As i come to find out he now has modded the hell out of his evo that is now running 25psi. Didnt get to talk to him or anything but my homie that was with me knew him and jus said wats up as we rolled by. Later that night i guess he was talkin to another friend of mine and this is his exact words ( aim convo ) "hahaha saw that one friend of urs car... cute car hahaha" i was like wdf. Ive never said shit to this guy and he talks shit bout my car. Now he said he will race me any way that i want i was just wonder how to race him so that way i can atleast shut his mouth somewhat but i cant beat his parents pockets. Any suggestions thanks

my friends evo at ~25 pounds and my mkiii at 10 pounds are pretty much even from 1st through 4th. in 5th gear i begin to slowely overtake.

with 15 pounds on a 57 trim ill blow right by him!

A gal I know has a Dark grey Evo, some people who live in Portland and go to PIR will probably know her and her boyfriend. He usually drives his new GTO, or his Vette. She pulls out 11s in her Evo all the time. Low 13s without the bottle.

I feel your pain .I to have same problem kid gets Evo for X-mas. Parents own the largest dairy farm in the county. The guy is somewhat of a douche bag. He has only been beaten once. The car that beat him was a older Integra that had 25k plus dumped into it. Said car being owned by a drug dealer. I have faith that someday the mighty supra will come from behind and KICK HIS ASS ( que mighty ducks theme).

But as to your question. I would say a 30mph roll on the freeway/highway that way you have boost built and can get into 3rd quick. Remember that awd cars are weaker on the highway I think my "friends" tops out at 150ish. How about you?

I have raced an evo on the highway, and I really wasn't all the impressed. They really have to be built to do good rolling starts. I mean, their power band is pretty narrow. Kind of the same thing with the SRT-4s.

That is the main reason whey, in the building of my Supra, I want the powerband to be as wide as I can get it. If I can start building boost at about 1800, and it doesn't quit pulling until about 6000rpm, then I'll be happy. It doesn't matter how much power you have, if you can't use it, what's the point?

hahaha, ha, man, I remember a guy who came to some little car meet we had a while back. He had just bought the new SRT-4, and he really thought he was the bomb. He had cut into his intake pipe and rigged a cone filter to it. (it litterally had electrical tape holding it on.) Then he "heard from this guy" that if you take pliars and pinch the waste gate shut, it adds like 100HP! hahaha... on man... when my friends and I heard this, we all challanged him to races.

We kept him racing until his car blew up.

"Awww, that's too bad, you bought this when? Yesterday? Wow that's terrible..." I kid you not, that car had 400 miles on it.

I was out at the strip here last weekend and there was an SRT4 running and he was less then .2 seconds off my time in my car with the clutch slipping so bad I could barely drive it and rod knock. After seeing that I am really not impressed at all with stock/close to stock SRT4s.

they are fast. all i had was a bov and test pipe and i wen twith one. he kept getting me. then we went to the free way from 80 and i went to 153. wich i guess is all the auto goes? and i had 4 cars on him
