If you can find any pinouts, there is one wire that should be labled as a speed or speedo wire. These cars dont use an electronic speedo (other than the digidash cars). cut that wire, if it doesnt remove the cut then splice it back together.

Like this? There's a speedometer connector

FI_075.gif

on the wiring schematic it lists the L/W wire being for speed sensor, is that it?

Uh no I don't, lol.

I am talking about a mk2 here, not a mk3. Us extra old school tards didn't get antilock brakes or airbags, and I already yanked out my cruise control

Then give it a shot. Worse comes to worst, you just put the two ends back together. Remember, anything over the speed limit is to be done on a closed track, not on public roads. :biglaugh:

Boys and Girls...get the Trust Greddy speed cut for just 60 $ and
do it right, without any engine codes and stalls :sarcasm:

$60 of free, I will take free, as the SCD does the same thing, clamps the signal between them. CEL only goes on if the cargoes over 120, and goes off after you restart the car.

Tell me about it, I payed $40 for my Holset.

yeah, but thats amazing.. on the other hand the wire cutting thing is kinda lame, so it works and all but then again if money was no problem a nice SLD from Greddy would do nicely (if I do say so from experience :biglaugh:) Necessary? No.

Usually guys that have swapped 1jz/2jz motors have spent $$$$ on
their project....want to do things right! Also 7M guys, with love for their
cars. What's 60-70 $ for a new Greddy speed cut defender or 30$ for a
used one. I have driven my car with the 2jzgte for 8 months now and
still haven't got the speed cut defender and can't go over 180 km/h :sarcasm:
Never had the chance and the extra $$ to oder it from Japan.
Now I am waiting for the post mail to receive it finally!
..along with the Greddy SCD,I got some Greddy light pulleys, a Greddy
BCC,and some HKS camshafts :love::biglaugh::sarcasm:
