Ive seen this before way back in the day. This was credited to Dean Marcum (IIRC) and then HKS jumped on the bandwagon.

I have personally seen these types of modified stock regulators fail.

same here.

not sure about dean, but i know dave hall used to sell them back around 1999. i had thought reg in canada had them as well, but not 100% on that one. perhaps those were the hks versions? he is hardcore hks.

either way, i know 3 people that have lost their motors on mod'd stock regulators. sorry mate, i just dont trust them.

Well, even in Russia we have custom made AFPR's (sorry, no picture). Friend of mine on local factory modded stock unit and it works fine =)
I don't think it is very hard thing to do, if you have some skills and equipment.

PS: sorry for my English...

good luck w/that. there were quite a few of those back in the day, most of which ended up in the trash bin after destroying the engine they were installed on.

I come from a land down under
While I admire people that make their own parts, on something as critical with the potential to do as much damage I just don't get trying to save some $$$

For $300 you can have a very good reliable FPR that won't flutter or lean the motor out, what's your motor worth to you?

yes, thats exactly what i was trying to say.

there was a local guy that used vise grips on his return hose. it was adjustable too! if he needed more fuel pressure he just clamped them down harder. true story.
