well, i mean, its a lighter frame. there is alot of room to fit it in there. you can buy mount kits that will allow you to run a 1j, so in theory couldnt you use the 89+ 7m mounts in there with a cresida pan and an supra r154(250$ gets you the kit to use that)?

the kit is the 2jzgteswap.com kit

2JZ/1JZ Swap Kit $1,500.00

The 2JZGTE and 1JZGTE swap kits are now for sale for the S13 and S14. We are sorry this kit has taken so long to be produced, but it is now ready for production. We will also be checking on the 2JZswap site often and answering as many questions as we have time for. If you have any idea’s to make our forum better, please feel free to let us know.

The kits will be $1500 and will include a front cross member, transmission cross member, motor mounts, and a drive shaft for a R154 5 speed transmission. There will be a core charge of $200 for the cross member, once we receive yours you will be reimbursed your core charge.

This kit will allows you to drop in a 2JZGTE or a 1JZGTE into your Nissan without having to modify your chassis. This kit locates the 2JZ engine as low and as far back as possible in the 240sx’s engine bay. The transmission shift knob will be located in the factory position as well, when using a R154 Soarer trans. The only thing you will have to make is the wiring harness. We will have a forum on the site where everyone can share there wiring diagrams. We do not have the time at the moment to figure out the wiring of each model 240sx.

i think that this would be unique and out there, but wouldnt feel up to the task of doing it, but tell me what you think of the idea.
btw, this is the product of me staying up late reading about 2jz 240 swaps.

the only thing holding the supra down is weight, and if you were to swap that motor into a 240 it would see some serious speed. well there is the mk2 and the 2jz but thats diffrent. but anyways toyota > Nissan

edit:spelling error >=D

The current motor in my Grey MKIII came out of a 240 swap.

After the swap, the owner drove it once, realized that the car was a death trap and took it apart. The motor wound up in my Gunmetal MKIII. Not sure where the chasssis wound up.

since when is torque in a light car bad? it just means that it will go sideways easier and accellerate faster :evil3:

The 7M has too much torque for such a small/light car, a 1JZ or 1G would be much more suited for that kind of car.

right, because a 1J won't make any decent torque...:icon_conf

7M has too much torque? tell that to the guy with a 500hp 7m in his 240z. I think he posts as clifton on here or something like that?

joe, i never said the 1j would make less torque, i was just thinking about the 1j into a 240 and realized that the 7mgte could be had cheaper than a 1j soarer clip along with finding a r154
