So this would make the PTE injectors too big for the LEX/550 upgrade, knowing Toyota's test is at 100% for 15 seconds. I wondrer how many have had problems using this 580 injector and didn't know it wasn't a 550.

A PTE 550 injector flows 550cc wide open (100% duty cycle). This is perfect for the lexus air flow meter and 550cc injector upgrade.

I also have seen where some people believe they are using lexus injectors in conjunction with the air flow meter. This is not the case. You use any compatible 550cc injector, and a lexus air flow meter from a early 90s 4.0L lexus. The afm housing is just a tad bit larger and is matched pretty well to the larger injectors. In fact, it offers toyota reliability with a nice increase in power.

Upon further review, it says injectors support 90% duty cycle, not flow rate tested at. Thanks for the info.

I was told by PTE that PTE tests at 90% to get the lbs/minute figure. Anything beyond that is speculation.

The shop that testing my injectors just told me that at 90% they are getting round about 52 lbs/ft. I have to ask him whether he means 90% duty cycle or 90% flow rate. Shouldnt it be the same though?...Duty cycle directly proportional to flow rate if the injectors are working perfectly?

However one of the injectors is very lean and reading well below the rest.
I might have to buy a new injector.

Should I buy the new injector and send it to the shop that he can compare it with the rest and flow match it all together?

OR

Just tell him to send the rest back and I'll just use the new injector assuming it flows the same

What do you guys think?

I know its always best to get them all flow matched..peace of mind.

Cheers,
Roy
