My compression tester is stuck in the #1 spark plug hole. Its the threaded type with the O-ring seal. Any idea how to get this thing out without taking the engine apart. Compression was 185 BTW.

I'd sacrifice the tester before I took the head off. Could you get a socket over the thing if you cut the hose off even with the spark plug well?

Im just gonna get another HG and some ARP headbolts. I planned on pulling the engine up to do that pilot bearing like I shouldve anyways.

Ive at least got the piece of mind knowing that it fired up and ran.

dude. if it's a two piece just unscrew the hose and put a 5/8 spark plug socket on the adapter. If not, pull the center valley cover and slide it up so you can get access to it.

u should just go ahead and rebuild the block while your at it, and while thats out redo your wiring harness and while thats out you might aswell repaint.

How bout, the extra long needle nose pliers. You probably just need a little extra effort between the hose and the crimped fitting.
