Color Change or Different Car - Opinions Needed

The truth is Jay paid me off to help him hate on the red Supra group. 
He's got it in for you, forcedtorque, george, and all the other red supras.

Jay Knows I'm not a RED supra owner. I even explained in this thread to CSNOW why I think he should stay Red. It was more because I don't believe in color change for the same reasons he stated.........not because of any Red homerage!
And, Jay knows all of US Red owners will be out-numbering their Blue ass. I wish it was different, but it's not. And, you black guy's (no offense Joe - the paid off on) are still behind, but catching up every day!

My vote is for Orange Pearl with a flip to the gold... (Lambo Orange Nachre..)

Red is more expensive than black. (Iron oxide v/s soot as the pigment... LOL)
Know why Henry Ford chose Black as the color the modle T?
It dries faster. (No shit, it's the truth.. and he went over to Holland, to Akzo, and "borrowed" some technology from the Dutch while he was there.. )
Keep in mind, on older cars, paint was brushed onto the surface of the carriage and chassis if the chassis was painted... Blown on coatings did not come around to later, and now the factory does not blow the paint onto your new car either.. (They electrostaticly apply the coating by squirting the paint into a very fast spinning wheel/fan that atomizes the paint that then settles and is attracted to the surface by electrical charge.. then they bake it at 300f... Try that in your local body shop paint booth... )

The fact that the pigment in red is iron oxide probably is one of the reasons it likes to oxidize so badly if you let the paint go...

Red to...any color, especially black is the worst, because anything that's still red sticks out worse than any other color.
I grew up around paint and body shops, I've seen this situation many times.
Unless you are doing a complete "frame off" restoration:
Don't do it, you'll regret it.
