Get a braided line if your bent on replacing in order to re and re the trans or clutch the line has to have some movement rather than having to bleed the clutch everytime. I personally have had no issues with the stock rubber hose.

my rubber hosed leaked after replacing my clutch. i bought a full ss braided clutch line from DM for 45 bucks.

i think it made my aftermarket clutch "softer"
cause it felt just like the stock one that was in their before i pulled the motor.
and im running the southbend dxd, which is just a modified aisin pressure plate, but still, it feels really nice and easy, but you still have that "direct" feel with the clutch.

The full length braided line isn't necessary, it was mainly made for when you swap from auto to manual and didn't have the hardlines...
the whole reason for the post is that im having some issues with my clutch system
i changed out the master cylinder and havent done the slave yet and the soft line looks really beat
the issue is that after bleeding the system multiple times the clutch pedal still doesnt come all the way back up and the engagement point is really close to the floor and its really annoying cause no matter what i do it just wont firm up like i think it should
any ideas?

taka - adjust the master cylinder rod that comes into the car.
Or just adjust everything according to the TSRM.

Don't force bleed the clutch system, it's not needed.
Just gravity bleed it and make sure the clutch pedal freeplay is setup right...

One other advantage to the DM line: When removing the motor/transmission, disconnect the slave cylinder from the bell housing, pull it up to the master cylinder and zip tie it out of the way. No need to bleed it when putting it back in

You can do that stock, just not all the way up to the MC.
Well, I did that the first time I pulled my motor, anyway. But I zip tied it to the fuel line area if I remember correctly. It was plenty out of the way.
