Climate control - only one speed

Hey all, ever since I got my car everything on the climate control has worked great except variable speeds. All I have is off and low. Medium and high don't change anything. The lights for those buttons do light up. Thinking it was a logical place to start I bought a whole new climate control unit. Just tested, same thing. What now?

switched the box to an 89+ and it all seems to work now 0.o

Blower motor resistor, located on the passenger side, just to the left of the blower motor. It's mounted on the bottom, one screw to remove it.

Note: make sure you reinstall that screw properly, because if you don't the resistor will fall out and burn a hole in your carpet/floor mat.

I had the blower resistor go out on my first Supra as well. It's very easy to replace. IIRC, it was about $35 from the dealer back in 05' or so.

Anyone know if there is a difference between the JZA and MA resistor?
