Evening/Mornin' all,

Just a brief post buy way of introduction. My name's Richard and I'm in the U.K.

I manufacture a range of clear lenses for quality marques/models such as the Toyota Celica ST202 and ST205, Lotus Elan and Esprit and Porsche 924/944, a number of which are unavailable elsewhere.

Having seen the rear conversion I'd done on my 944, a friend of mine asked me if I could do something for his rather smart '90 Silver MK3 Turbo, as there wasn't anything available at a reasonable price.

After very carefully separating the units, we removed the amber lens inserts intact, and these I have used to cast copies in a special UV stabilised resin. The very first one is pictured below, a couple of tiny flaws but pretty good for 1st out of the mould - all we have to do is refit the clears to the original housings(amber bulbs or LED BULBS to be decided).

Just thought some others might be interested because as far as I've been able to find, no one else offers this very stylish and subtle conversion which suits the original design theme.

I know there have been previous attempts before, but believe these will be the first to offer an OEM factory look. The illustrated fitting guide would be included to help ensure you get a professional result to be proud of.

Let me know if you like the sound of what we're doing, and I'll get my mate to send me pics when the lenses are fitted and back on the car

Cheers,

Richard

could you make an pre - 89 one as well? would you consider selling them completely assembled and ready to install for a premium price?

thanks.

I think that is the amber lense that is for the rear turn signals, right behind the three white lines. This would give the turn signals a white light instead of the amber light (stock bulbs are white). However, this means that if you choose a better aftermarket (LED) amber bulb, it will look better because the clear lense will not filter the light.

This is a super awesome thing. Your first piece out of the mould looks incredible! Be proud that you can offer such an exact replica that will obviously fit OEM into the tail light unit. I deffinitely want to see it mounted into a light to show off your final product, but you have something here for sure guys...

I'm scratching my head here too, I don't know if the UK supra tail lights were different for 1990 then here, but those look like they'd be for a 86.5-88 tail light... they're the only ones that have a big amber rectangular section... if so this makes me happy and i'll get it for sure (mine is an 88 and btw over 50% of the people here are 86.5-88), and I'd prefferably like them pre-installed with LED's stuffed in there to the T's ;)

IN Europe I dont think they got the 89+ tails until late, if at all. I believe that is for the 87-88 tails for the turn signal.

This would give the rear pre 89 taillights a completely diffrent look to them. By taking out the light diffuser in the tail/brake section and just changin out the amber lense for the clear one, and not having it to look all bare(sp?).

Yeah, they are $1100 us dollars. Don't worry, I will have a pair. Of course mine will be behind Regulus tail covers.
