Problem : crappy white paint has grease prints all over. Need to remove

Last time I tried to remove grease I used nailpoish remover and it did it fine. Im not too worried about my paint condition but does anyone know of a good soap I could get that would do the same thing with some scrubbing or should i whip out the nail polish?

i had some like octane booster and stuff that had spilled out and just sat on my paint right below the filler, i just used Simple Green on it yesterday and paint seems to be fine, cleaned it damn good too.

maybe a chemical paint cleaner? My brother is into detailing, he said that this stuff'll clean paint...I think it just takes off the wax layers or clearcloat. But he said to wash the car, use paint cleaner, then use a clay bar, then polish the paint, glaze it if you want, and then wax it and you'd have a gleaming car.

Derk, I would do that whole process if my paint was really worth it right now.

I did just claybar a week or two ago so ill need to wait before I do it againh haha.

lol, yeah I understand you there. I was thinking about detailing my car...then I looked at it and realized it's not worth it until I get it repainted.

WOAH! Just run down to your friendly auto parts store and pick up a bottle of Body Scrub - Meguiar's has this and I'm sure Mother's will have it too.

Wash the car and then hit the affected areas with the body scrub. Takes care of tar and road oils like a dream.

Simple green dude. And why in the hell nail polish remover??? that removes paint to.
After simple green, just use some type of car wax and it will come off..

I'm surpised no one else said that, I thought too that nail polish remover would take the paint off.
Mothers FTW.

Nope, I use it all the time, especially when I want to strip all of the wax off & start over. With that said, you do need to dilute it. I start with 12:1, and go up from there if I don't see results.

Liquid Dawn dish detergent and a little elbow grease.

You know the comercial, "Dawn takes grease out of your way.", well it does. The reason that they say to never wash a car with anytype of dish detergent is because it stripps wax as well as grease. Powder detergents are a deffinit NO, NO. They can be abrasive if not full disolved.

You may have been kidding. It's hard to tell, but the color you're referring to is SuperWhite. I just checked on some today for my wife's car. Good luck........lol

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Why is everyone voting to spend crazy money on something fancy to do what Dawn (and other... less superior dish soaps) is designed to do?

You would be suprised how effective this is...
