driving back to school last night in the rain (not sure but the wetness seemed to amplify the noise) and i started to hear a chirping or "urp" from my right rear.
-noise wasn't speed or rpm dependent
-still occurred under acceleration/coasting
-noise quieted down/disappeared around left turns
-noise occurred under straight driving/right turns
i can make the noise by braking with light-medium pressure, the noise is loudest and continuous as weight is transferred to the front and goes away when i let off the brakes (otherwise it makes the noise as i'm driving and hit small bumps/dips).
in addition (but probably not related), it sounds like my diff slips or chirps when i'm backing out of a parking spot/taking a slow, hard turn. could replacing the gear oil help with this?
