Ive seen the car in person. Def worth all 13.5 of his asking. start totaling everything in his list and add the ~ 4-5k for paint (with labor and prep). that car is sexy as hell.

Definitly not worth more than 7K in my eyes, but this guy wants a chunk more.

With all due respect, that guy's got obviously got a ton of dough into this car.

I would venture to say that it's worth every dime of the $13,500 he's asking.

I don't know where some of you guys get your ideas on what's worth what, but it's kinda disheartning to hear supramania members beating the shit out of a car that is nicer than just about any of your own rides.

Maybe that's why... if you've never bought the parts, spent the money and done the work then you have no frame of reference. If you haven't done it, then you can't appreciate all that goes into it , and what it's worth.

Seems like people who have "nothing nice to say" sure love to talk.

I do know what it costs, and engine ALONE I have more than 3K in my car...and it's bone stock internals (BLOCK WASN'T EVEN TOUCHED) with a cometic HG and ARP head studs...

Adding up the bills gets a bit tough at times when I think that I could be paying for a nice brand new car right now...but it wouldn't drive as nice, be as fast, or have the comfort of my supra...

That's the thing, a new rollerskate with 4 doors and an am radio will run ya almost $20k. And we're not talking Supra by any means.

With that in mind (and if you're the kind of person who isn't easily discouraged) why not spend $30k on your Supra?
Compare it to what you could buy new for that, plus you're not driving the same honda crapbox that everyone else has.

I'm hardcore MKIII, I wrench and or work in some way on my car almost everyday, and I do all the work myself (with the exception of machine work)...swear to God!

I am pretty sure I represent the vast minority of owners. I think most people, certainly not all, (even supramania people) don't really get it.

Looks nice but not worth it because you can buy a good supa for a coulpe of thousands and spend the rest of that money yourself and make your own good running, high HP Supra.

I believe hes asking a fair price for it. If its out YOUR price range then its different. A stock turbo supra which is in good condition will run you about 6 grand. If your saying you'll only pay one grand more for all the work he put into that car....no offense but share some of what your smoking with me.

My pockets hurt just by upgrading my exhaust to a full racing exhaust. The RSR exhaust was 600, the tanabe downpipe was like 300 and since I want my car to pass inspect the random tech hi flow cat was another 350. So if you do the math, I spent already over a grand (not counting shipping and labor fees if you cant do it yourself) on just the exhaust. Now add in the blow off valve, shocks, springs, car alarm, clubs, jdm mirrors, lights, wheels and rims. (Im speaking only my car as you can tell) And it adds up rather fast. I still need to repair the ripped seats that came with the car when I bought it, repaint the body and get a rust spot fixed. Now imagine if I redid my engine, got a full authentic bomex kit including mirrors, FMIC, radiator and everything else he has.

He has a rust free fresh rebuilt car that requires little to no work or headaches. As if finding this car in decent shape already isnt hard enough.

I agree that if want to build your own ride you wont buy it, but if you think its too much, then hey its your opinion and to each his own. But if you use some logic and basic math......you might even convience yourself otherwise.

Ditto, started doing that after the tranny shop could do a clutch job right (brought a lift down on my door, broke a knock sensor, couldn't assemble the throwout bearing assembly right (machined the lip on the hub clean off), clutch pedal preload (slipped like MAD), grease in my interior, missing exhaust hanger, ect...). Keep in mind they couldn't assemble the clutch right even after 4 times...

never again EVER!

Now if this guy did his own work, he saved himself a TON in labor, but imagine he went to a shop to do everything...he spent over double at least...

god damn!!

about time someone shows up with House Of Kolor paint job!!!

thirteen k. Sure it is worth at least that much (hell talking just about HoK, if that is the Kandy Orange with shimmering base and pearl additives, just in paint alone looking at a $3000-$5000 bill. Adding the labor to get that right, an easy $8000 for that paint job).

Now the problem as has been noted on here, will he get it. Nope. Mentality is that it is an MKIII supra and as such does not deserve the higher price.

I know that guy...not personally but know of him. He does all his own body work. Its a nice car and I think its worth it. The problem comes from finding a midpoint in what people expect mk3's to be worth and the amount spent on them. Im sure he's spent that much (his asking price) or more but not everyone thinks its worth that much and you hardly ever get back what you put in. Personally, I dont understand why our cars aren't worth more? It seems like theyre going up in value a little though or am I imagining it?
