Jealous? what for? it's not like it cost thousands to do that... all it takes is initiative and a few supplies, some hard work, and some materials.

I just don't understand... don't be lazy! just go do it.

By no means am I bashing, Casey. I love it too!

Dont worry. I kno ur not bashing. Lol. The only hard work to it is taking the interior pieces out of a 14+ yr old car without breaking anything.

And like Kurt said, just go do it. You'll be very happy with the results.

I like the Recaro Speed seats a lot. I'll look into those also.

IIRC those seats are like $650/ea Casey.. but that was for Avus cloth, so leather or vinyl may be a bit more.
ballpark, anyhow!

I think I'd rather have the Avus cloth. Leather doesnt like the Florida sun. There are a few sets on ebay for about $1159. They are black cloth with the red Recaro logo and red stitching. I might go that route. But thats not until after the engine is finished. Im not sure what order to do this. I was going to buy the engine, then buy the body kit I want, or just finish the engine first and then buy the body kit. I'll decide soon enough.

Any one have any personal experiences with the Recaro Speed seats?

I just bought a new addition to my security system for both my DD and the Supra. Its a keypad starter kill. It completely disables the starter without the code. Can't even hot wire it without the code. I was thinking about putting it where its circled on the bottom attachment pic. And I also want to completely get rid of the key. Just have the keypad and a push button start where the cig lighter is. What do you all think?

Edit - Screw the attachment. Look at this pic.... :biglaugh: I suck at posting attachments.

Ok. I've decided to rewrap my stock seats with black vinyl and red stitching. My brother hooked me up with someone "that will rewrap my interior for a good price." Not sure how good. I'll talk to him soon and let you all know. I'm still waiting for the money to get into my paypal so i can pay for the shift boot and e-brake boot from empera. Sorry its taking so long btw. Lol. Damn paypal. Havent had much time to do anything. Im looking for a way to redo the bottom carpet part of the door panel where the pocket is. I sprayed a part of it with the interior spray and it came out somewhat good. But not what I'm looking for. I also spray painted the extra damaged fender with the spray paint and it came out a lot better than the rest of the paint on my car. Lol. O well. I'll have some more pics up soon.

I still dont have the damned alarm keypads I ordered last Monday. I called on Tues and they said they shipped it out already. And then I called again on Fri to get the tracking number and they said they already shipped it out that morning. And I still dont have a tracking number. On top of that, I had to call a California number in order to check the status of an order and they left me on hold for about 10 mins. So that was nice of them.

Woohoo, got the shift and e-brake boots and the keypad starter kills today. The keypads are much smaller than i thought they would be. But thats not such a bad thing. Getting one installed in my DD probably Fri. The shift and e-brake boot are freakin nice as hex. For all those that need new ones, get in contact with empera. ASAP. I still need to call my brother to get the number to the guy who will rewrap my front and back seats. I'll call him later on when im at work. Ill let you all know by later on tonight.

hate to bust your bubble. I had one of those and it absolutely SUCKED. never worked.

The origional thought process was to make it keyless. Type the 4 digit key in and press a small button and the car started. Never worked. Even after countless hours of wiring and rewiring. Turns out the relay was faulty.

:3d_frown: I finally broke down and went to the dealership to buy door hinges. After 3 sets from the junk yard, all still making the door sag i decided to get new ones. God they were expensive. $115 for upper and lower. :3d_frown: They will be here Friday morning. After i put my paycheck in on Fri afternoon, I'm going to order a LIPP High Flow Fuel Rail, and an AFPR kit. Just a little motivation to get this shit going again. It's been slow because of work. It just takes too much out of me. I still need some more fiberglass and bondo so I can finish covering the holes from the wing, windshield wiper, and antenna. I do want to order the body kit and rear sunshade and taillights sometime soon.

Its late and im tired, so please, if someone can post a site where I can get the rear sunshade for the hatch, it would be kick ass of u. Thanks.

Ok, i picked up the brand new door hinges today. I also got the tracking number for the AFPR from Titan Motorsports. It should be here tomorrow being that I'm only about 180 miles away from them. I'll get some pictures of them up tomorrow. I couldnt buy the fuel rail because my budget for the week didnt have enough money for it. But next week ill buy that, ARP head studs and rod bolts.

After that I want to start buying the body kit. Which is the Shine Auto Greddy Gracer replica, Bomex sideskirts, Bomex rear undercovers, 89+ tails, and the hatch sunshade.

I come from a land down under
Casey: Sorry I missed your hinge drama....

Old school "fix" with saggy hinges on 2 door cars (I've only ever owned coupes) Is to find a large piece of timber that fits under the door frame then with the door open far enough to allow a floor jack you jack on the timber.

This bends the door frame slightly raising the door so it doesn't sag costs nothing and works for another 10+ years till the hinges wear some more!

and brand new JDM Tyte door hinges.

Ian, I didn't really express my sorrows with the hinges on the forum lol. But my dad heard a whole lot about it. Well if these get messed up, then I will try that nifty bit of info.

That is all.

And thank you to Nate for helping me understand the fuel system. :icon_bigg
