87 turbo auto. When I come to a full stop in R D 2 or L my whole car vibrates. If i step on the brakes while my car is in P or N it's fine. What could this be?

Anyways i'm storing the car now and possibly going to do a 5 speed swap durring winter. Now i got to start looking for the conversion parts.

Sorry for the confusion...as I slow down in R D 2 L the car is fine. Once I'm at a complete full stop and my foot firmly on the brake, my car starts to vibrate...

This just happened today for the first time.

That changes things! A warped rotor causes vibration WHILE the car is stopping...not when it's at a complete stop. Do you have ABS?

sounds like an abs sensor is freaking out, i have that too, at like 2 mph the abs will go off and the pedal will pulse, have you checked for error codes with your abs system???

the BRAKE light on my dash does not flash or anything. The pedal does not pulse either. This just happened as i was going to my co-op so i decieded to take the car back home and use my van to be on the safe side. I did not check the codes yet.

not to jack, but quick question..how can you distinguish the difference between warped rotors and abs pulse on braking at slow speed slowing down to a stop?

Are you asking me?

To Clarify for everyone, NOTHING happens when i'm slowing down, everything is normal. The vibration only occurs when the car has FINALLY stopped and I am on the brakes.

That sounds more like a tranny problem...does it vibrate or make any sounds any other time? Have you checked or changed your ATF lately?

I was thinking tranny problem too. Only vibrates at those times.
