Hi,
My 88 turbo Supra has been undergoing a BHG repair and full engine rebuilt for the last 2 months. After a few troubles with the starter, then the cold start injector, I finally got the Supra to start.
However, something seems very badly adjusted. The car only starts with the gas pedal all the way to the floor. Otherwise, it wont start. Once i get it started, I need to keep the throttle body wide open. At WOT, the car revs to a dissapointing 600-700 rpm and is kind of stable. If I ever let go of the gas pedal, the engine slows down and stalls.
I checked the resistance in the TPS and AFM as per the TSRM and they are in specs. The CPS has not been adjusted yet (I did not set the base timing), but I put it in in the position explained in the TSRM. The engine rebuilder had tested my engine and compression was 175psi in all 6 cylinders. The engine doesn't throw any codes (flashes continuously). Setup is 100% stock. Injectors have been cleaned and flow tested.
What should I look at and for?
Thanks a lot!
