so i was on 102nd heading for Hooters, i take a right onto Stark and get the car sideways, no traffic only one on the street , i control it and keep going(mad drift skillz yo) first thing i see is red and blue, GOD DAMN POPO, i was cited for "speedracing" and my car was seized. Then he tried to tell me my blue face gauges we illegal and that those would have to go but i didnt get a ticket for that. The ticket itself was $427, $400 to get the car back, and $230+ in towing fees. car was towed and i walked the 30 feet i had to go to Hooters and ate with my buddy Justin, he was nice enough to give me a ride home. now i have to return my lowering springs and shocks to HPF to get some of this money back.

NICK ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no point to this thread really just a rant, any advice would be great, im 18 and this is my first ticket.

its one of the main reasons I dont drive like that anymore...that and I actually now have a sense of my own mortallity...you kids just havent experienced that yet. When/If you do, it will slow you down.

But im sorry to hear it happened to ya...sounds like they were being a little harsh. Ya might be able to get the charges reduced in court.

My advice, don't do it again.:naughty: Sorry to hear about it Nick. You'll have to let me know how the court thing goes. Portland PoPo kinda strict on the street racing thing and I don't even know if the court can drop the fine by law.

street racing eh? anyone around you or turning out the sametime? Thats wreckless driving. Not street racing. i'd plead not guilty on that one. If you werent racing anyone then you're in no wrong. But you did get the car sideways and thats wreckless

Man, I'm glad I live in the boonies sometimes. Popo around here are more inclined to ask "What you got under that hood??" after pulling you over than impound your car.

Good luck!

I know in VA you can't get a "street racing" charge unless two cars are stopped. You'll have to look into that because its perfectly logical. Sorry if i missed something and there actually was another car around/involved.

Why was the impound fee so much? Here, it's just $75 per night.

That's weird that you were booked for "speedracing" yet you were not arrested...

It's also weird that you were booked for "speedracing" by yourself. I thought you needed a 2nd person for racing.

ok wait wait

I held my tounge on this one but, as always. can't any more.

how do you get the car sideway on a turn? I have NEVER gotten my supra sideways but then again I know how to drive.

There should be zero reason for you to get sideways unless;

1.. You are fucking around in which case you got what you deserved.
2. Don't know how to drive, in which case get a lower powered car and LEARN how to drive, and you got what you deserved
3. You did it on purpose in which case, you got what you deserved.

Sorry man, getting sideway is either of these 3. I have owned my supra since 94 and I have NEVER gotten sideway not even once, not even in the rain. So I will vote #2 with you.

^^ It happened to me once. I was getting onto the highway in the rain and my back end came out a little when I started to accelerate. I had control the whole time but it still scared me since I was not expecting it.

Right after that happened, the guy that was behind me pulled next to me on the highway, beeped his horn, and gave me a thumbs up...

Again,

not knowing the limits of the supra in ALL conditions (wet, snow, dirt) will cause this type of error. Hell my supra survived 2 years of snow driving and never a spin out or ditched unless I did it on purpose (fucking around).

again. User error. ;)
