yes, when people talk about the lexus afm upgrade they mean using the housing from the lexus and swapping the electronics from the 7m afm... since it is bigger you get more airflow.

You misunderstood the question. :) He was asking if he could use the Lexus electronics on the stock housing. The answer to that, as posted already, is yes. :)

Yes I know, I should have made it more clear that just giving advise towards the "upgrade" were it wasn't needed. :sarcasm:

What are you trying to do? If it's raise fuel cut, you'll need some 550cc injectors, the Lexus AFM housing, fuel pump, drill the jtube, etc...

Read this:

If that's what you're trying to do, then you really need to be more clear when asking questions, because that's NOT what you asked. ;)

Combination|Result
Lexus AFM Housing + 550 cc/min injectors + stock electronics|higher fuel cut

Lexus AFM Housing + 550 cc/min injectors + Lexus electronics|higher fuel cut

Lexus AFM Housing + stock injectors + stock electronics|dangerous

Lexus AFM Housing + stock injectors + Lexus electronics|dangerous

Stock AFM Housing + stock electronics|stock

I have everything i need. But my friend who is a machanic, (and owns Brightside imports) was under the impression you only needed the electronics off the afm. But i knew something was wrong when i keep hitting fuel cut. I was cunfussed because i was getting wierd answeres, i thaught it was cut and dry.

This is all very common information. First, your mechanic friend is dead wrong; how do you expect to get roughly 25% more airflow without changing the housing? Second, take a minute to really read the link I provided earlier in the thread:

http://rob.carlile.home.mchsi.com/lexus/lexus1.htm

It's got everything you need to know, especially coupled with Mike's chart above.
