I believe you can. However, the rubber has metal inside. You can just pinch it with your hand (a lot of pressure) to tighten it back down.

Just did mine a few weeks ago.


1. Put your window down
2. Get some pliers but put some cloth on the teeth.
3. Slowly apply pressure to area until it bends inwards
4. Make sure window still goes up and down without too much trouble.
5. Celebrate with beer
6. Repeat 5

I just bought a new one of those pieces for my wife's BMW, it was like $45 bucks. Her's made alot of wind noise also.

It replaces the whole window track up front. My wife did it herself in like 15mins, so I think you should be able to also.

The rubber is molded to the mounting bracket.
