You may have to strip off the Viton (or other such material) and use copper spray; but, as 1J put it... Yes...

Good luck,
:)

Not "may"...you will have to strip off the old Viton coating. The copper spray replaces it to effect a seal. The "yes" IJ posted is a thread link ;)

if you did not tear up the surface and it is cleaned properly you do not have to resurface your block + head. You didn't. blow the hg right? Just making sure because if you did, you may have warped something .

not for me, just for future reference. Assuming nothing was blown and the motor had to be pulled for something else.

the head and engine were machined properly so i didnt blew the hd or over heated i guess the one of the rings or either the bearrings went out because i rev the engine just trying to go past 5k and it would go any further than that well i guess dumb me by doing so into a rebuilt engine

New MHG (regardless of brand) - No spray sealer

Used MHG (regardless of brand) - Strip off old factory Viton coating (acetone or paint thinner) and and spray a couple coats of the copper sealer. You are replacing the Viton.

Note: Some MHG's you have to remove the rivets. I bought one once a long time ago and placed it on there, the rivet placed placed on the MHG and didn't seal.. So that was TMS just to let you know 1.2mm .

Titan MHGs are made by Cometic...I'm pretty sure the rivet problem has been fixed, but you always should lay a MHG on the block deck and check for any rivets that touch it. Those have to be removed.
