Well day 9 post transplant and all is going as expected. No signs that it has worked yet but no signs that it hasn't. The docs say that it will be at least 14 days before we should expect anything, maybe longer. He is own alot of meds right now including morphine (just for you Jay...JK) but he is feeling ok. He keeps asking me if I got the lic. of that truck....because it keeps running over him. He still has his since of humor........and some pretty young nurses to keep a smile on his face. Laughs, women and drugs...what else can you ask for..........JK:biglaugh:

Tell them to drop the morphine and double the nurses................:naughty:

Glad to hear he is still cracking jokes and doing good. My thoughts and prayers are with Josh and your family Mark...............lol

I can't wait to take him for a ride in my car next year. He may wish he was back in a hospital bed by the time I'm through with him................:biglaugh:

Jay there is nothing you can do short of killing me with your car that could outlast the effects of this transplant! Going through this stuff could make our military tougher! I have the utmost respect for all the kids going though this stuff cause they say that my treatment is going realatively smooth! Well i g2g cause the morphine is kicking in again!

How's it going Josh? Hopefully you're getting stronger each day. I know you're in good spirits, but I was just wondering how you're feeling. Keep us informed with how you're doing..............lol

Hey everyone, For about the last week Josh has had a rough time. Has had high temps off and on(104.9),gained about 40 lbs of fluid weight, has fluid around his heart and in his lungs, and his liver and kidneys not working properly. It's been a tough road so far, it seems to be one thing after another. But through all of this Josh always finds a reason to smile and if he can he'll find a way joke about something. So don't forget about him, he likes to hear from his SM family.

Josh, stay strong brother. I know you'll beat this cancer before I beat this 1jz swap. I can't wait to take you for a ride in it. You'll be wanting to burn your 7mgte...........:biglaugh:

I hope you're not in too much pain. I still think they should either double the nurses or double the morphine.................:naughty: . I'll let you make that call. Keep us posted on your progress, and I'll keep the prayers coming. I can honestly say that since I've met you on your first post about this, that I have never went one day without praying for you. I'll keep up the prayers and you keep up your will to fight, and your sense of humor................

The Hayes Family is always praying for you.....lol

Ok guys been fightin left and right and tooth and nail, but the true heros are those of you who have stood beside a complete stranger for months now, Praying for the stranger, who has made absolutely no promises and or loyalty
to anyone! You my friends have used more of your lives towards trying to give someone hope who may or may have appreciated the geasture. Well I would like for each and everyone of you to know you are the true heros and hope to one day be able to affect everyone of your lives in a similarly amazing way!
Thanks again to all of you!

I'm a hero? Are you sure? I've been called a zero before, but never a hero. I better reread your post and make sure you just didn't miss the Z key...........;)

My cams are coming in Thursday Josh. I should get to start putting it together this weekend. I was expecting you to come help me, but I guess you're going to use this whole cancer thing as an excuse to get out of getting your hands dirty....................:biglaugh:

Keep in touch, and keep the faith. I didn't make up that keep the faith thing, I read it on a shirt somewhere...............................lol

Keep on keeping on Josh! There's no heroism in sincerely wanting to see a true hero who is young and full of life keep pushing on when it gets tough. Prayers are easy to give, but your spirit is inspiring. I just need to remember to give a few more for you.

Josh, I talked with the children again Sunday and told them that you were not feeling well. They are praying too.

Someone told me one time that just like metal is forged in fire to make it stronger, the same is true for people. The troubles we face in life are our fire, and when we get through these troubles and attacks we also will be stronger.
As much as you have been through already and the attitude you have maintained speaks volumes about who you already are, and how strong you are. I can only imagine what wonderful things you are going to be able to do when you step out of this even stronger.

My prayers are with you.
God Bless
Vonda
