I did. Not only does it save the components you mentioned, it also saves the thrust washer in the transmission.

Question for you tho. Is your engagement COMPLETELY smooth or is there a little bit of chatter?

Mine has a slight chatter.

You have the organic sprung street disc, right? Machined flywheel? Mine was 100% smooth from day 1 and still is. I was very careful to follow the 500 mile break-in period with soft regular driving only.

Does the Disc have Marcel washers/springs between each friction surface?

During cold start with rpm's ~1k engagement is completely smooth. Op temp with 650 rpm, chatter.

Organic sprung street disc: Yes.
Machined Flywheel: Fidanza with a brand new insert
Break in: Proper Gingerly Driving for a full ~600+ miles

Nope. I don't remember seeing that at all. You, Brad...?

It will chatter then there's no way around that other than more rpm/slip Kenny.
(Marcel's only reason to exist is to cushion the initial engagement to stop chatter but they're a fail point for high HP so are often deleted)

+1 Brad,

my car Idles around 7 but even with my stock clutch I give it a little as Im starting out in first. I usually disengage at 1000-1500 rpms depending on how quick Im taking off. That could be part of it Ken, and why dont you head this way and we will go for a cruise, or meet in the middle (not that there is anywhere interesting in between). I know some of the Spokane guys have posted that they are itching for a meet.

^^ that looked a little over the speed limit!

It wasn't. It was just really windy that day... :)

650rpm seems really low, my car doesn't even idle that low. Just slip it a little higher and maybe it will level off more over time.

In normal driving I would say that I start to let the clutch out around 1k-1.2k rpm. Very little chatter, if any, at that point. But anything below that, like trying to creep forward, it chatters. It must be normal operation of this clutch.

I'm sure we can work something out. If nothing else, we could all meet up at Zips in Ritzville.

I thought I would post some of my dyno data so folks might have a ball park idea of where their car might be power-wise. Again, "ball-park". :)

BOOST / HP / TQ
10 / 301.4 / 297.5
11 / 320.9 / 308
12 / 329.1 / 311.4
14 / 351.4 / 324.5
15 / 367 / 344.5

Still working on the tune and some ignition issues which is why my TQ value is so low; but, here's where my car is as of now.
