^^^ MAN! I need to put FRESH LENSES on my tailights as well... those look SO MUCH BETTER than old "faded" lenses!

On a side note... if I were working under one of those little awnings... IT WOULD BLOW AWAY with the windy days we've had on occassion!

...keep the nice progress pics coming... it's getting me inspired on my project!

Looking very good so far. Are you keeping the blue one blue or changing the color? I can't remember if you said that already.
I was actually going to paint it two-tone black on silver. Then I remembered my 02 4Runner (black) how hard it was to clean and keep clean so I ditched the dark colors. I'm going to paint it a thunder metallic grey. All the lights will be tinted with the windows and the grill will be painted a diff color.

I tell ya, doing 2 projects at once is time consuming...........

As for the dash, I believe all Toyotas of that era had the same dash cues. The Cressida resembles the Supra alot more than the others cuz there almost the same underbody-wise.

This is what I'm going to make my car look like...... sort of.

Finally got the Supra seats in! Man, these things are excellent! I took a corner at 60mph, the whole car skidded sideways and I'm still stuck in the seat :D

Alls needs to be done is I need a side bolster switch for my driver seat. So back to the junkyard..

I have one already.. the gold one. I was gonna make one auto one stick, but do to Toyotas ignorance, they decided to do the Supra alil differently than the Cressida. The Cressida's ECU runs the Auto transmission, as for the Supra, it needs a seprate ECU. Awkwardly enough, the 7M-GE Cressida ECU and the 89-92 GTE ECU share the same plugs....

In other words, do you have any idea how shitty it feels to drive a automatic manually? Thats not the worst part. The worst part is when you put the transmission in 2nd gear it shifts 3rd gear and D is overdrive. So from a dead start, my acceleration is breath taking, but when its time to shift... BLAHHHHH Bogs down till it reaches 90mph then it comes back to breath taking. I've never been able to go past 135mph with the 7M-GE and it was alil slow gettin there. With the 7M-GTE, 100-past the reading of 140 was like 0-60 in a Corolla :)

So im gonna go pickup my W58 tonite. Don't bash me for using a W58. The one in my gold car lasted all the beating I threw at it for 2yrs. Brakestands, burnouts, 2nd and 3rd gear scratches, hard downshifts, alot of accidental grinding of gears, beginner stick shift drivers... all that good stuff. My experience with R154s is, alot of times they tend to jump out of gears easily, mainly 1st and 2nd and sometimes 3rd. Clunky shifting isn't my idea of a drivers car.

Smooth shifting W58, here I come! 1hr from now, you shall be mine!! :)<

Heres the gear box/slave cylinder, driveshaft, brake/clutch pedals and the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate. They all look good. Clutch has alot of life left!! :)

Alls I need now is a clutch hydraulic line (junkyard) and a brand new Clutch master cylinder. I love this already :D

Sorry about the crappy fone pix at nite. I don't really wanna use the digital cam cuz it takes too good of a picture :D

Anyway, I used a Toyota Hilux clutch pedal, I dont recommend it cuz its too damn long and i installed it to make it work till i find a mk3 pedal.

And my favorite pic for now:

BTW, The car is sooo sooooo much better to drive. Car now takes off better VS auto that had a 1st gear and no 2nd :) I lost soo many races that way but kept up reasonably good. But now with the 5spd, Lex AFM and 4psi of boost (fuel injector O rings leaking) I managed to kick my cousins 2007 Impala SS ass last nite. So much for 5.3 Liters.. :) And I did it infront of Supra hating bastards :evil2: while smoking my tires in 1st and 2nd gear! Jap trash my ass.

Oh, and I bought a Supra LSD lastnite to go into my Cressida cuz I hate it when my car starts to smoke the tires and kicks sidways alil bit then one of the tires just stops spinning. Its annoying and embarrassing infront of these big block motor humpers. They start screaming "One legger!"

Nice...I'm looking into making my Cressy 5sp also. Which tranny did you use?
I'm no fan of the clunky R series trannys. I'm stuck with my daily driver Toyota 4Runner that has a R150 gear box, so ofcourse, with previous experiences with the trusty W58, I went with it. Problem is, my clutch can't handle the engine..... But the shifting is butter!

That's what I'll be using for my Cressida as well...
My recomendation if for your NA-T. From what I hear, the W58 wont handle high power, but a friends Cressida at 16psi with a 60 trim CT-26 lasted a whole year without blowing up especially the way he drives that poor thing.

Heres a 4mb vid of my Cressidas exhuast so don't htink its an exciting vid and I wont refund your 49 seconds of your life.

I enjoyed it!:biglaugh: Just ANOTHER CAR NUT in the DARK with "out-of-focus-images" for the simple purpose of capturing a few moments of his infatuation with his automobiles caccophonic symphony of an exhaust note...

Ahhhhhhhhh...... this is the stuff that we are all here for!
