When we are at the topic of bottleneck in exhaust and hope the OP doesn't mind...
I'm doing a full 3" turboback but after getting the muffler I noticed it had about 2,5" opening just where the muffling part starts (the pipe itself before that is 3").China shit:nono:.
Cutting and hacking it up to get it to 3" is too much work for now - so my question: How could it affect my system with stock ct26 and I think about 10psi?

Pure math.

2.5inch pipe has a cross sectional area of 4.9 square inches.

3.0inch pipe has a cross sectional area of 7.1 square inches.

So, you'll lose just over 30% capacity leaving it the way it is. Will this work for a stock CT? Probably. Is it ideal? Not by a long shot.

This will create back-psi that will mess up the cylinder scavaging making the carberator useless, don't do it!

Seriously though, it might make a noticable difference in sound, but on a CT26, it won't be a HUGE effect on performance... maybe enough to notice. It probably won't be OFMG! But it might make a difference.

:runaway::runaway::runaway:

Thanks, If it doesn't make a huge difference in performance I'll let it be for now.
If there's something really wrong then it should come out on the dyno graph?
And you say that the sound could be a lot quieter? (That's good :))

There is no such thing as BACK pressure!

The scavange effect doesn't work on turbo engines...why you even said that I have no clue

we don't have carbs...

Kero....you failed

Also, the exhaust will cool down on the way out. If it will get dense enough to maintain the velocity idk, maybe someone'll have something to say about it.

OP: Any word from the engineer yet?:biglaugh:

It's VERY noticable as I did this exact thing. Stock DP was broken by a shitty shop (long story) so I got a DDP with stock(ish) catback. When I went to a high flow cat and 3" catback it made a HUGE difference.
