I hear that frequently! And now that I live here, I can totally second it! It's awesome here. The climate and geography is very much like norcal, at least here in Victoria where I live. I grew up in your area but my family moved to OK when I was about 10 - part of me will never forgive them!

Definitely a good place to come visit but you want to set aside at least a month to really appreciate it. And even then, that's stretching things!
