I have a 1986.5 supra. It was 7mge-T from the last owner but it was completely ghetto rigged. So I dropped in a 7mgte. It's all stock except a 3in downpipe, custom 3in exhaust, and hks ssq bov.

Can I turn up the boost to about 10psi or do I need to drop in more supporting mods first?

Fuel cut is generally around 12-13 PSI. You can run 10PSI safely on your motor, and youll feel quite a difference from the stock 7 or so.

I ran 12 PSI on a stock motor with a MHG/ARP's an exhaust system and intake.

I've never used the GReddy Profec B Spec 2 so I don't know. Can u control the boost individually in each gear with the B Spec???

I agree with going with a cheap controller for now as well

Dr jonez makes a good one....and your playing with fire without addressing the headgasket issues first before turning up the fun I mean boost ;)

Yea I know. Im going to get aorund to that. The guy I got the car from gave me a GReddy 2mm headgasket. Brand new still in package. He paid like $320 for it. So Ill probably have that put on when I get the engine rebuilt. Im trying to wait to have it rebuilt because Im saving up so that when I get it rebuilt, I can go all forged internals

If you got a JDM motor I'd rebuild with out question!!!!

i second that statement.... ive had bad experiences in the past. you will never be sure how solid your motor is until you have it rebuilt and you buy the parts that go in it.

Your going to make that rebuild come a lot faster if you turn up the boost on stock HG...at least retorgue the headbolts...

So if the headgasket is still good, I can just have it retorqed for right now until i rebuild it?
