Go ARP's and MHG you won't regret it! And machine work as well.

Right now I can't get the machine work and all. I would like to go MHG but I'll prolly do it when the HG blows again. Then I'll rebuild the engine from the ground up and have everything machined!

What do yall think about going ARP and oem headgasket? I was told I could do it and torque it to 90lbs and it would be better than the stock studs...

PROGRESS HAS BEEN MADE, well some
::bhg::

Started prepping my work space for my head gasket install and DDP installation, that will be after the HG install of course though!

First step I wanted to do was get the stock DP off and get the studs removed from the back of the wastegate, one was striped so yea. But we got through it fairly smoothly, I was pleasantly surprised.

We have seperation.... Finally!
What do you think? Motor has about 180,000 miles on it. Been sitting up for about half it's life.
I personally think it looks pretty good, take into consideration I have not cleaned anthing except the tops of 1 and 6 just to see how good the carb cleaner worked.

Anything I should know before cleaning the head and block? Whats the best to use? Is it bad to get anything in the coolant holes. Like small particles?

Got alot done today. Thankfully no school or work! Thanks steven
Got the arp head studs driven in the block, torqued the nuts down to 95lbs/ft on all 14 studs.
we timed the cams and put the cam belt back on.
Mounted the lower intake manifold and routed wires back to where they will be going soon.
Put the turbo back on the head and connected all the oil feed lines on the bottom, these are the biggest pain! When I finished I took a big sigh of relief!
And mounted my Divorced down pipe with new studs!

I need motivation to finish this! I am so close to finishing it but today I can't seem to get the motivation to do it :aigo:
Drinking last night prolly didn't help matters. I'm trying to get the air surge tank on and make sure everything is routed correctly between there. Thats how close I am!!!!!

Haha thanks guys! I feel better after I ate lunch so I got the air surge tank mounted, alternator mounter, egr valve all tighten. Next I gotta do the trottle body but I'm unsure of a couple of hoses so I'm waiting on my friend steven to show me.

Time for a break! Running by tomorrow is the goal! Stay tuned
