That exhaust is very nice and sounds very cool as well. Especially at high revs. And completely stock in normal drives.
Nice car btw.

Thanks man. Yea I really like how it looks stock, and sounds quiet! Keeps everyone from wanting to race me at the stop lights :nono:

Soon as we got it installed, took it around the neighborhood but the power steering belt started shredding up? All the belts were brand new!WTF:cry:
So it sounded like a popcorn maker under the hood, we shut her down and let her rest until the new belt arrives tomorrow!:3d_frown:

Question for experts...
I installed this intake, 3" cat and hks cat-back.
I have the famous "Rattlesnake" sounds between shifts?
What is this from and is it bad? I heard it was compressor surge?
Do I need a BOV instead of a BPV

Need help!
I'm having transmission problems.
So... I was driving on friday afternoon and took it kinda on the outskirts of a small town so it was like country driving. I wasn't pushing it but I was downshifting from 3rd to 2nd so I could get on it a bit.
I pushed the clutch in and proceeded to put it into second. It wouldn't go so I let off the clutch pedal and the pedal had dissappeared. It was stuck fully depressed. So I coasted to a safe spot and messed with it. I had to pull it back into place with my hand. Then after that it wouldn't go into any gear... Only neutral. Waited a few min and it worked but was jerky. Got it to a neighborhood where we let it cool off even more. It was fine driving home. felt like normal by the time I got back home.

Saturday afternoon I back the supra out and into the street and put it in 1st. It's real jerky and you almost have to let all the way off of the clutch pedal in order for the gear to engage? What happened? I don't think my clutch is gone because it was fine right before the pedal stuck and when I was driving home it was fine. Now it's jerky and sounds bad.

I have heard different theories. Some said slave cylinder, maybe I lost clutch fluid? Air in the line? I dunno what to do but I just don't see how the clutch could be fine one sec and then be funky the next, then fine again and funky the next time. I need help. This is my first supra and manual transmission so I am totally lost. I have the TSRM's but I dunno where to start.

Linc - chances are that you have a bad clutch master cylinder. Same thing happend to my MK-III. I bled the clutch but I would still loose pressure on the pedal after driving around for a couple of days. Try bleeding yours and see if the problem comes back. If it does, you need a new clutch master cylinder. Be sure that you go with brand new OEM (which couldn't be a problem since you've got the hook-up). Reason I say is because I went through 4 remanufactured Autozone & Orielly master cylinders before I finally just bit the bullet and went with OEM. Never had a problem since.

In terms of your leaking, it looks like motor oil or gear oil. If it's motor oil, you've got a bad rear main seal. If it's gear oil, you may have a leak on your input shaft seal.

Supra is off to the shop this Friday! Brand new clutch and rear main seal. And what ever else the mechanics find. I haven't driven or even started her in weeks. It's sad... :3d_frown:

You're telling me. I got my car at the end of August and I've only seen it one other time when we removed the engine. Going 1JZ though. :D

*update- The supra went to the shop today and the mechanics cracked open the tranny! New clutch parts being put in, resurfacing the fly wheel and they found that someone had been in the transmission and done a horrible shitty job. Missing all kinds of clips, bolts, screws and the reverse light sensor was held in place with SILICONE! WTH! some people just shouldn't be able to work on cars... Am I right?:3d_frown:

Yes you are right. So the car sat for 9 years???? Not to be wet blanket, but when you start driving a car that has sat for a long time, things will start breaking down on it. So don't be surprised if you have to start replacing a lot of things, and it's usually really weird shit you wouldn't have to expect to ever replace.
