Blue Smoke

I just installed a 7mgte in my cressida. And when deep in boost say like past 3500 rpm it starts to smoke from the exhaust and from under the hood. I change my turbo 3 times same thing. If i granny shift the car it doesnt smoke but if i decide to press it it starts to smoke. When i pull over and look under the hood i can see smoke vapors coming from what looks like the exhaust manifold but i have no leaks.

oil is leaking past your piston ring(s) and getting into the engine cylinder and mixing with your fuel.

Do you notice a decrease in performance at all or does it run rough?

Possible but not definitely, redo the compression test, should get the same figure. Then put a few squirts of clean motor oil in the cylinder, and retest it. If the compression jumps significantly by adding oil, you have bad piston rings, if it doesnt you may have valvetrain issues or a bhg.

I think if it were the headgasket it would overheat and it would also blow out white smoke (correct me if im wrong)... My turbo talon did the same exact thing and it ended up being the rings.

There is several ways to blow the headgasket. You can have any combination of these situations.

-coolant leaks into cylinder (blows white smoke like you said and sometimes overheats)
-Oil leaks into cylinder (blows blue smoke, eats oil)
-Oil and Coolant mixes.(overheats, and can cause bearing damage)
-Coolant leaks out between the block and head (coolant on the ground)
-Oil leaks out between block and head (oil on the ground)

So while the plug is removed put oil in the hole and do the test again?

right, dont put to much because the oil will not compress, just a few squirts will help seal the piston rings, reducing the amount of blowby. If this doesnt change your compression significantly your problem is top end or hg as i said. If it does boost the compression it means the air is blowing past the piston rings on the compression stroke and its time for new rings, and you might as well do a complete rebuild while you have the block apart. probably not what you wanted to hear.

When you test, have all the spark plugs out, not just the one your testing. Another way to tell is by how quickly compression is built. Have the buddy give the engine 7-8 cranks. on the dry test (the one without oil) if your compresssion builds in the first couple strokes and then doesnt climb any more, indicates a top end or hg problem Compression that gradually builds throughout most if not all of the cranks your problem is likely the piston rings

sometimes when im driving or parked i smell gas i dont know if thats related to any of the smoke

Its possible. You could be running very rich, but, i would expect the computer to dectect that. Check for trouble codes. You can also test your fuel pressure http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=72 Either way, thats something you need to figure out, if your leaking gas thats dangerous!

could be piston rings
