That's the same turbo I got with the car when I purchased it three years ago. I took it off when I went SC61 and put it back on about two months before I sold it to the guy you bought it from. I was running about 10psi on it when I sold it
so if the seals in the turbo are blown, when would you most likely be burning oil? i've been seeing blue smoke comming out of my tail pipe here and there (i've noticed it twice, both times after driving around a little and then comming to a stop it'll smoke for a couple seconds..dont know if it smokes while boosting..gotta have someone drive behind me) and i don't like it one bit.

yes iam burning oil my buddy put his hand behind the ehaust and had oil sprayed all over his hand. so its blown. now is it cheaper to get a rebuilt ct26 or just get like i t4 upgrade cause i currently have no money so iam looking for the cheapest way?
nope its on topic i think. honestly when my turbos have gone and i was smoking pretty bad (think fogging for mosquitos) and i didnt burn more than a 1/4 of a quart over a 200 mile drive. It looks like alot of oil is going up in smoke but its really not. I lost more through oil leaks on other cars over the years. but if you can have someone follow you and see if your smoking when you boost and usually right when you step away from a stop id start looking into the turbo.

I've got the 007 Smoke screen going too. but it only happens when I left OFF the gas after reaching boost (even 1-2 psi) and its usually linear.. more boost more smoke. but as long as i stay on the gas in boost.. no smoke.. but as soon as i let off.. about 1-2 seconds after POOF.. smoke all behind me. I've already found a replacment turbo. but just wanted some inputs on is it even my turbo or what else.

you are wanting a cheap replacement...the best thing to do is find a stock ct on the forums..they go from arond 100-200 bucks for a good condition one.
anything other then that will run at least 500+ bucks.... and if you go to a t4 or such footprint it will require more parts be put on as it wont bolt to the stock manifold.
just find a stock ct.
if anyone has a good one for cheap ill buy it. but iam leaning toward just getting a new one cause the one thats on there now the guy said it was good and well its blown.
