That T88 equated to being a 42R also doesnt it?
What all was stock on your 1JZ?

Sam
Kinda, both 76mm, but my greddy has a slow journal bearing and larger exhaust ar. A gt4276 will spool a few hundred rpm sooner. I started getting a good amout of boost around 6000rpm. I'm guessing a gt4276 would get good spool up around 5700rpm on a 1j.

On my 1j, my complete engine was stock. head wasn't even lifted. I had only swapped in new valve springs and bc272 cams. added big turbo+fuel system+standalone+big intercooler+4inch exhaust. it was hiyway monster only. forget about city driving. City driving was horrid.

How did you upgrade your valve springs without taking the head off??

Put the piston at it's highest position, then leave the car in gear. Pulled out the spark plug and hooked up the air compressor to keep the valves from dropping. Then swap springs and valve seals while in there.
I did drop one valve as I lost air pressure, but it droped on the piston. But since the piston stops it from dropping into the engine, I just pulled it back up. Getting the retainers back in with aftermarket springs is the hard part.

This works really well to help put the valve lock back in place.

Yep.

Well gathering parts, Waiting on a manifold still.
It'll go in the car once the weather is more like 40s and up lol
This 20 degree BS is painful to work with especially in an unheated garage!
