Your AEM EMS is plug and play for the 1J? I didn't know they had that or am I missing something here?

It's a MKIV AEM ems with a 2jz to 1jz jumper harness... Save your pennies as next year I might be selling it as I am gonna make the jump to PRO-EFI... I am gonna sell pretty cheap compared to what I originally paid for this unit with everything...

my car is almost identical except my head is stock! same turbo, same fuel set up, but im 1.5jz

Really??? Sweet, Are you a 92 as well??? I could have stuck a 2jz here but I am a 1jz fan, I love the way it loves to rev, I driven 2jz with about the same power as my 1jz made & 1jz rev faster, Well see what power I make on this set-up before I build another long block with higher Compression & a better head.. Like I stated before, I have a guy that does wonder with the porting here, I wanna see how far I can go on a 1jz before taking a 2jz dive one day...

That seems like an awfully big turbo for the 1jz. You could have went with the 6265 and outran everything in your city probably. I went with the 6765 but I'm regretting it a little bit. The 6265 seems like the perfect street turbo. I loved my 1jz, but since I've went with the 2jz block.......I wish I'd have did it sooner. It's just more power out of boost and the car takes off a bit quicker without as much throttle. Good luck with your build and I can't wait to see what kind of power it makes on pump gas.

I picked up this turbo dirt cheap brand new..... The car is a weekend warrior, Not a daily driver but i know what you mean, I already pimped a T70 plus I wanna see what it does in pump gas, Talking with SP they estimate around 550hp on pump gas & 700hp around 24 psi on C16, I wanna see if I can push 800hp around 28-30 psi, But seeing this turbo in action before I can probably make more than 800hp at 30psi... We will see in a few weeks as I have been working none stop for a few months... I barely touch the car... Winter is almost here & it is depressing that I did not drive my car once.....

Im in the same boat..

Hopefully you can make more than 500rwhp on pump, a buddy of mine made 530rwhp on a small 40r on pump. Its all in the tune..
Do you think the car will be running/dyno'd soon?

Sam

Sam, I am trying my best to have it running by this weekend, If run outta time maybe at the end on the month, Tuning might get done in dec... Well I believe Larry Or Vince from SP will make the power that I expect from pump, Remember its a Mustang Dyno that SP runs... SO if I make 550 hp on that Dyno I will be more than pleased..

I worked my ass off, save save, people have told me I should have bought a MKIV but i love my MKIII. With the money I have dumped in the past I could have bought a nice Mkiv.

There's always something better and the grass is always greener, and other people always know what to do with your money.

I'm sure you will find a way to enjoy such a beautiful setup you have going, I love the MKIII more than any MKIV, the car has a character and presence not found in many cars IMO. It's why I dumped a faster RB 240sx for this POS MKIII.

Good luck with your car, drive the piss out of it.

I love where you're going with this mate, will be awesome (and very different once it alss done). I was down at the shop looking at mine just today as it had some HKS cam gears and HKS timing belt fitted, I have the same balancer as you too (only badged ATI) - having a bit of a de ja vu looking at your pics haha. I hear ya about building a MKIII instead of a MKIV. I sold my JZA70 and bought an RZ with everything done, got bored of it after 6 months and went back to a JZA70 (which im building atm and will end up costing the same if not more than the MKIV haha). But it's all for the old school love and being different right!?

your turbo choice is fucking adventurous, I gotta say. Can't wait to see how it works out!

Aaron stocks them now. Don't worry about waiting. He doesn't stock Cams though since people hardly buy those.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys!

I ran a t88h-38gk on a stock 1j with BC272 cams+1250cc injectors. Almost everything the same. I received peike torque at around 6800rpm. I want to see what your gt4276 will create it's power.

That T88 equated to being a 42R also doesnt it?
What all was stock on your 1JZ?
