I read this whole entire thread...and just wanted some answers... First is the maft pro good for tuning ...i want to use it to eliminate the mass air flow and run speed density...also it seem that its difficult to reach 11's with an upgraded ct26 and that the solution is nitrous...wat r the effects of nitrous on a built motor and do u think its a safe improvement or is there a downside to it

Well "compatriota" it depends on how much nitrous you are going to use and what do you want to achieve.

yeah theres no way I'm going to depend on the ct-26 for that much horsepower in the future. I wanted to look into bolt-on turbos and I found a stickied thread that was supposed to post information about the ct-26 and bolt-on turbos but it just says that he'll get to the bolt-on turbos as soon as he can. Hes doing a build I think so he said he was too busy to get to that at the moment. Hopefully he'll have that up soon.

There was a guy that was running 11s but expects to run 10s now, I think his name was Duane, and he has 800something horsepower so 10 seconds would probably be a lot of work and money. I asked him how much money he's put into it and he told me he could have bought a couple of MKIVs for the amount of money he spent on his car. Try looking for a build thread of his or something or maybe PM him. His car's pretty amazing I've seen a dyno on youtube lol.

To run 11's is fairly easy if you have a stand alone ecu. Just need and intercooler upgrade, 60-1 .81 p-trim turbo 550cc or 750cc injectors. 3" or bigger exhaust system, metal head gaskets, arp bolts and a set of et streets or drag radials. We have done low and mid 11's on pump gas at 17psi with manual transmission. And of course a good clutch! The stand alone we use is Microtech. It uses you're stock cam sensor and coils.

Answer...take a 12-13 sec 7mgte MK3 and Put the 7mgte in a 2800LB. MK2 and there you go...But you will have to join the dark side of the supras!! No thanks although MKIIs are nice I think I'll stick to my SUPRA:D

And as for drag radials being street tires I was told that they would wear out VERY quickly if they were used often which is why I asked about street tires lol. And besides gixxer750 says he did 11s on all seasons so now we know it's possible. Now we just need to see your mod list gixxer:D.

Oh but the thing is at 500 horsepower you're REALLY pushing your stock internals. I was told it would be smart to get forged pistons and piston rings. Is there anything else that would be recommended?

I've done 11's on BFG Gforce Sport KDW's... so yeah, I did hit the track on all seasons. ha

Just out of curiousity, have you ever run that same setup with drag radials or slicks?
