Well I have this problem with wanting to assemble my 7m and put it into my car.. buttt.. The toyota crank and rod bearings have been put on backorder till june 24th! :aigo:

They have gotten in 6 of the crank bearings (1 still on backorder) and they have 3 of the rod bearings (3 still on backoder)

At this point Im now wondering if I should just buy aftermarket bearings and get the machine work done to make them fit correctly..?
Only thing is if I do that ill be re-doing work to fit all the aftermarket bearings. Already had the rods resized since I installed ARP rod bolts and had the crank checked and repolished. Fuckk this is really pissing me off, Toyota Canada SUCKS!

Does anyone know if Toyota in the US has any of these #3 bearings?
Part Numbers of the bearings I still need are.
#11701-43010-03 ---> One of these (crank bearing)
#13041-42010-03 ---> Three of these (rod bearings)

BTW this is for an 87 7mgte.. If anyone could help me out I would apprieciate it so much!! If I have to wait till the end of june for parts I will barely get to drive the supra this year. :( :(

If anyone had suggestions or advice throw throw it up, im pretty much screwed at this point in my build :(

Ya your best bet is finding someone in the US to buy them for you and send them over. You really want to stick with Toyota bearings as much as possible if you can, no point in going to standard sizes when you are all ready for Toyota bearings.

If nobody else volunteers i can see if my local dealer will get them for me then send them to you. Is the part number specific to the #3 bearing you are looking for or do i need to specify?

Try giving a phone call over to Aaron at Driftmotion. I needed all #2 or #3 sized Toyota bearings for my rods and crank, and ended up ordering a set of Clevite 77's from Driftmotion. After talking on the phone with Aaron, he gave me the confidence to try them. After putting them together and checking with plastigauge, everything was within tolerance. If you're not willing to wait, it could be an option. You're only out the time of a phone call for weighing your options.

PS - I'm only planning a BPU motor... nothing crazy. Your options could depend on your power goals and your confidence in other-than-Toyota parts.

i will see if my local toyota shop can get them if cify cant get them just pm me if he is unable to help i wont charge you any extra just whatever the parts cost plus shipping

I went through this with my build, I bought a good number of the bearings they had left in the US/Canada and they had to get some shipped from japan :( The supply is drying up since Toyota doesn't keep them stocked here because not too many people buy them

Strange I must have gotten lucky because I got all of mine within three days, and that was what my dealer called a backorder... Ordered Mon, they were there on Thursd. Picked em up Fri...

haha good point didn;t consider that ;)
I do have Clevites, but considering that everything is all ready for the Toyota bearings, you prolly don't want them.. but as a LAST RESORT, I have a full set of main and rod standard sized bearings. Bought these then decided to go Toyota OEM just as you did...

I belive toyota bearings would be the best for my build since the plan is to put down some pretty decent numbers. Also I already have 9 of the 13 bearings needed, so going with clevites would be somewhat silly since I cant return them to toyota.
CyFi6 if you could check out prices and availability for me on the bearings, I am commited on getting them. All the info on the bearings needed I put up in the first post.

Thanks for all the help :)

champion is your best bet. just ask for jeff and only jeff. he deals with supra parts every day. he was able to hunt down a first gear for me which my local dealership told me no longer existed.

I've had very good luck with Micheal Horne.
