Oh man, that price is WAY better than getting a new one from Toyota. Up here, Toyota charges $755.13 for a new one... or about ~650 USD.

I have a new one from Toyota and they are 450 US

The ATI is what I am going with but will be a while since mine needs to be custom made. (as usual :)) This will be in the 900 dollar range

ooooo bolt's to the caseing cause i don't want the ac ring on my dampner hummm sounds even more intresting and if i remmber right that is outer pully but that tight fit thing still kinda bugs me.
i was talking to my friend who has this car and he got lower pullie that was very tight fit, when uninstalling the pulling he broke damper aka had to heat it up wich kills the damperner

i just wounder how tigh these things go on and why are they this way??????

and i have all ways though that weight help damping these things are pretty light for what they are
8 pound for a steel and 3 for a aulim based off the jz pullies

from what one person i knwo that is pretty smart guy said to me weight is key thign when dealing wiht rubber base damper in less it is fulid fill then weight is not need as much

does any one want to clafy this

cause sight six is death to any front balncer

I'd like to have one that has only two belt ways on it... Since I dont have AC on mine, it would be CONSIDERABLY lighter with out that outside band on it... I've even thought about having a lathe cut it off, but I think it might throw the balance off... What do you guys think? Could it be rebalanced if I had it cut off?

The ATI Dampener comes in two pieces...the dampener with the PS and Alt/water pump belt and an outside (removable) pulley for the AC. All you have to do is not bolt up the AC pulley to the dampener. ;)

More trouble than it's worth...especially when you can get a NEW one from ATI at this price. The ATI is a tight fit (PITA to install), but it spins smooth as silk on my motor.

Smooth as silk... I like the sound of that... And with out the added belt way, it should remove a lot of rotating mass huh?

The ATI weights 6.5 lbs (w/ the AC pulley)...the stock dampener weights 11 lbs. The AC pulley is aluminum...just guessing, it would be about 1 lb lighter without it.

Nash - Might not be the most accurate, but I weighed the ATI and the stock dampener on a postal scale myself ;)
The ATI is significantly lighter.
