As of now, I have bough a new JDM 99 Supra freshly imported my self from japan, and I am building it for show, to be HPAddict.com promotion car.

When I bought her it had a lot of extras, like exedy twin plate, garret gt45r turbo, work wheels, fully forged engine, roll-cage and so on, so I only need to repaint her and thats it, so it will cost me roughly 22 000usd (including price of the car :D)

And my restoration EDM MKIII is now at a total cost of about 12k in restoration parts (paint, engine, suspension and so on) and cost me 2000usd to buy it, so total 14k ;)

Still spending.....

Credit Cards aren't readily available money; they're readily available debt. At (in most cases) 19% APR. They love it when you pay the minimum, as that's really just that month's accrued interest. My philosophy: If you don't have it, you can't spend it. I refuse to sell my future to buy the present. Instead, I live on a very strict budget, and build my car with the money I save. That, and plan for that time when I won't have to work unless I want to....

the one thing i always try and do my best is not go into debt for the supra. Spend money ive got, not money ive borrowed. I dont want to owe anyone anything on my car. I cant afford my truck, no bigge, bank can come take it, i own the supra and dont owe anyone a fucking penny for it

Sad part is i work at toyota so i see the mark up and at cost shit is still expensive. Ex.. knock sensor cost 138.00 = 244 retail = going standalone and now i dont need them:cry:

Thi$ wa$ a thread that I wa$ dreading to read and reply to. I don't even wanna think about how much money ha$ gone into repairing, maintaining, and upgrading. Let me $ay that $upra owner$hip i$ bitter $weet.

Regret$...If I could go back in time, I would leave the car mo$tly $tock with $imple bolt-on$ $o that I could enjoy driving it more, rather than having it in the $hop.

Ahhh shop and\or downtime. What's the prices in that ? jeeeezzzz. Is it too much to just want to drive the damn car without blowing a coupler or return line or a bazillion other things ?

Spent alot on a 20 yr old car, (stopped counting at 15k) but it's fun to beat new cars when you let it go. Sure would like a new triple synchro 6-spd in it, though. I can just imagine how much that'll be. Bring it on!

I paid $500 for my car on Monday and $8.00 for a negative battey cable. That did'nt help so it looks like I will be paying lots more for a new motor LOL
