As of today how much did you spend on your supra and any regrets?

I spend on my supra just about equally i spend on other aspects of my life; School, music, and living expenses. No regrets. As others have pointed out, it beats a 500 dollar a month car payment any other day of the week.

lots, i refuse to add it up, but it's over 10k including the price of the car. but i started with a junker because i didn't want to see it go to the scrap yard. it'll cost me a bit more in the end, but knowing i saved it from the crusher is worth it to me.

Probably somewhere in the area of 7k, but its all going to be worth it in the end. Next steps are looking like me selling my single stuff, getting some paint, a tune and maybe some aero.

My only regrets are taking too long with the 1j swap and not having more money to toss at the car.

Don't know and don't care.:biglaugh:
Probably half of what I will put into it I assume. I pay cash for everything. Credit cards are the devil and I refuse to use such a thing. Pay cash and never go into debt; use credit cards and your ass gets owned by visa.

Regret? What is that?

Sitting at right around 12 grand for this one I think, and I've only begun. :) No regrets other than not starting with a better looking car. However, paint is in this one's future, and then it will be pretty too. :D

Well on both cars here it goes.

My 1983 Supra, spent 250 for the car, and 1,100 restoring it (Receipts)

My 1987 Supra, spent 2,000 for the car, and around 400$ as of today.

So a total of $3,750 on Supra stuff, out of my own pocket, at 15 years old.

No debt due to cash paid, and I will NEVER regret this. I have learned more from owning both cars than I could have EVER learned from a mechanic. I know more than anyone in school about Toyota's.

I now wish I wouldn't have parted out my MkII Supra, but I'm glad I did because I have learned more than anything from taking it apart (Learning where and how everything goes)

wow this hurts but , ive been an mkiii owner for about 2 solid years now..

first car was a 500 junker that needed new interior but i gave her life, and took her soul when i found a better body.

my second car is a 87t 5spd car that i installed all my part's into.

here's a break down.

700-car
765-maft pro
670-intercool & custom pipes, and t-bolts and couplers
100-megan exhaust tip
195-cat back
115-3in large mouth down pipe.
000-gutted cat :p
1350- first rebuild
350-rebuilt the head, grinded the valves, dip/cleaned surface.
1150-second rebuild -resized the rod's this time after arp bolt instal
425-knife edged and balenced the crank, polished and destressed the rods.
260-hid lights and housings.
285-new shocks
250- new springs
150-stock clutch
380 5spd tranny
250-tranny rebuild kit
606- rps 3200 sport max
300- picked up a second r154 2 weeks before i break mine ..
350-fpr kit with stainless lines
665-Ron R long runner intake
045- q45 @ rev.
350- prob's
400- eagle rods (or so.)
650-hks exhaust mani
600-rebuilt gt4067.
325-arp's rods, mains, head stud's.
145-spare 3.90 lsd.
600-GT57trim ct26 will be used before t4 setup.

a grand total of!

$$$$$ 12,431 !!!!!

whats bad is i have a nother project going thats starting to add up bilz too lol

cant be to ashamed tho, it's an 82 L type supra i was given.,
ive dumped the motor out of my 700 dollar car into it with a new head gasket.
and purchased...
400-griffin alum rad.
065-msd tach adaptor
055-lsd unknown ratio jun yard
075-efi gas tank from 85 celica.
300-master 7mgte engine rebuild kit with 20 over pistons and ten over bearings. just in case i ever need it for my 82. :p

so i have spent 890 on the 82 supra. :sarcasm:

i dont regret a bit of it,

it's been said before.

it beats a car payment any day!
i may own my car but i still owe some cards.
im not affraid to build credit by being in debt, most people do it by purchasing the car initialy. i choose to spend my debt in places i wanted like performance and reliablity.

Payed £890 for the car and have spent about £1200 - £1500 on maintainance and mods. But have put about £6000 of fuel in it:cry:
