Wrapped up my battery relocation, and fuel pump rewire (12v mod + direct power from battery) today. I still need to wire the distribution block in the engine bay, but everything in the hatch is mostly finished. As always, lots of pics!

Splicing the 10-gauge wires onto the stock pump wiring. I used butt connectors with built-in heat shrink tubing (nice stuff!):

My battery box sits over the pump wiring cover, so I had to cut holes in the cover and battery box to route the wires through:

The only thing I am worried about is the exposed ring terminals connecting to the circuit breaker. Although they are mounted solid, they are less than half an inch from the box. The box is grounded to the chassis (not directly, but just through what little contact the threaded rods give). Should I insulate these?

why take risk man. The battery box is sitting on top of the tank and the last place you want sparks flying around. Two things you can do :
1 > Insulate the mountaing point of the relays and the circuit braker so yo uknow there is no direct contacts between them and the steel.
2 > Insulate the terminals so that they don't touch accidentally during any rear section hops or vibration. Better be safe...

Those were my thoughts too. I think I'm just going to cover the side of the box with some type of insulating material. Those were the only 0 gauge ring terminals I could find that were decent quality. I'm not sure why they would expose the metal like that.

Well, instead of insulating the box itself, I have decided to get some transparent heat shrink tubing from McMaster and wrap the ring terminals. Also on the list is a protective cover for the circuit breaker so nothing in the hatch accidentally grounds it out to the chassis.

Installed the intercooler. This one fits very well, it's wide enough to make brackets that use the stock bolts on the framerails. It's not as tall as most, but it's 3.5" thick and still fits without ANY cutting of the bumper/support. Precision claims it flows up to 600 hp; I'll see if their claims are true or not:

Retorqued my head bolts to 72 ft-lbs (I have reason to believe the head gasket was replaced a few thousand miles ago before I got it), and replaced the valve cover gaskets. I noticed some wear on the cams. Most of it was on the "sides" of the lobes. Does this look normal on a 100,000 mile engine?:

Received my intake manifold from Seth. What a work of art!

Test fit the manifold:

Definitely going to have to turn that fuse box 90 degrees!:

Cut out the battery tray:

This goes in the trash:

The first time the car has seen daylight in a few months! (And the first sunny day we've had in a while here in Ohio!). I enjoyed working on the car in the daylight and not in the garage with the propane heater :)

Thats a big nice intake manifold with a small turbo ;)

Haha, yeah. Once I get everything back together and running on the CT-26, I'm thinking of getting a 57 trim from driftmotion until I yank it for a rebuild. Then I plan on going GT35R or similar...:naughty:

Just about ready to start the car back up after 3.5 months of down time! :eek3dance I've been meaning to update this thread with pictures, but have been more focused on getting everything back together. I'm crossing my fingers I haven't forgot anything! :stickpoke I have lots on my camera that I have to transfer and resize. I will try and catch up on everything this weekend, but in the meantime here is what I've done since the last update:

- Cut and fit 2.75" intercooler piping (went down through the battery tray area)
- Mounted the alternator on the dropdown bracket and a new 48" belt
- Removed the A/C compressor and driver side lines. I was planning on keeping the A/C for now (even though it currently doesn't work...probably needs recharged), but the alternator was too tight of a fit with the intake manifold angled towards the battery tray.
- Extended the wiring on the ISC and TPS.
- Installed catch can and plumbing
- Probably some more small things I can't remember right now

Stay tuned for more updates!

Great work so far I cant wait to see what numbers you are going to put down!!

Thanks; I'm still on the stock CT-26 so I won't be putting down any crazy numbers yet ;). I'd like to upgrade to a 57 trim for the summer, so I can actually take advantage of everything I have done so far. That said, I would be curious as well what numbers it will put down on a stock CT with these supporting mods.

CT-57 are really fun I miss mine  I dont know if you discussed it yet but what are you doing for fuel besides the walbro?

I installed an Aeromotive AFPR along with -6AN lines (just in the bay, the stock lines are still running from the tank). For now I still have the stock 440 injectors. I plan on running a MAFT PRO for tuning, and once I get that installed I'll upgrade to 550s. From my research, the Walbro might be pushing the limits once I reach 500+ at the wheels. I'll worry about it at that time though, as I'm not rebuilding the motor for at least another year.

On a side note...IT RUNS :). It started on the first try tonight and idled well. I have a few kinks to work out but I'm going to play around with it more tomorrow. Just in case anyone has any suggestions, here is what I'm experiencing:

- When I jump the B+ and Fp pins in the diagnostic block (to power up the pump), my pressure is reading is fine but when I remove it it only holds the pressure for a second or so (if that). It was my understanding that it should maintain fuel system pressure for a while after being shut off. I can't find any external leaks, but I'm going to take a closer look tomorrow. What else could this be?

- When I give it some gas it doesn't want to rev very high, and it just sputters and then idles pretty bad for a few seconds before it recovers. I'm going to double check my IC couplers to make sure there isn't a leak. Could this also mean my TPS needs adjusted?

The 80mm throttle body and the gasket I custom made from a sheet of universal gasket material:

The IC piping (yes I have both a blue and a black coupler...the blue came with the IC piping kit; I need to order another joint in black. It works for now though :icon_bigg):

My McKinney catch can install. I have a PCV filter right off of the intake manifold to prevent backflow from boost (actually it's not in these pictures...but it's there now):

And the wiring for extending the TPS and ISC (am I weird to actually enjoy wiring? :1zhelp:)

Yeah when your just extending wires a foot its enjoyable but when you start building a custom harness from scratch or something like that.. see how enjoyable it is..

It's an Xo2 throttle body sold by Supra Sport. These are the throttle bodies that Seth includes w/ his manifold (though you can have him flange it for another if you like).

Updates!!

Sorry guys, I know I seem to have disappeared from this thread for a while. I actually got busy with the process of selling my Prelude :(. I'm going to miss it but I'm still loving my new daily (hint: it too has a Toyota I6 in it :biglaugh:).

I've started working on the Supra again and soon you'll see some updates!
