Anti-surge comp. housing missing anti-surge relief holes

Even if it wasn't ported, wouldn't the irregular shape of those ridges inside the housing still help to disrupt a bouncing air pressure surge wave? Kind of like baffling in a muffler, which is designed to be less reflective to reduce sound pressure waves.

Nope, because the pressure wave, IIRC, comes off the tip of the inducer.
