Hey guys well I read that the HX35 is a good turbo the list goes on.... but I have always read that they go well on the 1jz and also the 7m's but how about the 2jz's? if the 1jz can spool them at 3100 rpms would it too small of a turbo on a 2jz? The reason why I ask is because I am limited on funds and it would fall great for the parts I have for the NA-t setup I am about to do. 4" inlet and the 3" vband out would work great. I would just need a t3 to t4 plate/adapter.
I searched for dyno's and other sources of information to show how much power it can put down to the wheels and I really failed at searching or didn't find anything. Any information dyno's or information would be great. TIA

im doing an hx40 on a 1jz.
the dsm crowd loves these turbos and they have a bolt on housing for the hx35 and hx40. considering their engine has 2 less cylinders and is only a 2.0,
1jz/2jz should have no problem running the turbo. They make .55 ar and .70 ar housings both undivided. personally i think im going with the 70 ar housing

I would at least run a hx40. The 35 will hit hard, way too low. Traction will be a major issue.

traction is over rated... LOL Thanks for the advise. I guess I should just wait and buy something a little bigger. Well something that wont be so violent.

Look into the 61-64mm masterpower turbos. Lower cost, good quality from what I have read and wont be as violent.

So what we should really be asking is what kind of numbers can these JZ make at 45-51lbs?:naughty:

I like where this is going.

It can make lots of little tiny parts, of what used to be your engine.

Let alone the cost of the vp import to be able to run the engine with such pressure, lol.

I hear what MDC is saying, but the practicality of such a small turbo at such high pressures is little to none. Would you rather run a t61 at 40psi or a t67 at 25.

also had a leaky injector oring at the time.
