nick; the block is built pretty tight. all arp hardware, race-prepped and shotpeened rods, ross pistons, cometic 2.0mm metal head gasket with arp head-studs.

been running strong for the past 7000 miles, daily driven over 500rwhp. :)

ahh someone needs 7m enlightenment! the 7m-gte has dynoed over 1400rwhp. plenty of guys running around with high-hp 7ms. sure the 7m can make 800 on stock internals just as good as any engine can.. about once. except for maybe a 2j, lol.

I remember a few years back Mark Tozer dynoed 900 rwhp, or just above on a stock short block. The short block died at 31,000 miles he said. I don't think he put 31,000 on it with 900, but after that power was achieved, it succumbed shortly after.

Besides an engine that lives happily at double its intended output is pretty good in my book.

Damn! 1400 hp on a 7m! 900 on a 7m! 600 on a 7m! Shit, I'd be content with 300-350 at the wheels. No need to go hog wild!

I think I remember that. It happened when he was racing. He said that he had perfect air/fuel ratios and no signs of detonation when the engine blew.

If you had 350, you would want 400. Don't deny it because you would............lol

suprahero's right... I was happy stock... then it was shimming the gate... now it's MAFT-Pro, 3" exhaust, 2.5" hardpipes, and an IC upgrade... then it'll be revamped fuel system and 15psi... then it's 18... then 20... then 25... ah, hell, you get the idea. :D

Boosted engines are an addictive sickness, I tell you :D
