Can't help you getting them out, my EM studs just came out by hand.

It is suggested to helicoil the EM studs so they won't back out on you. Most AZ's have the parts, or Driftmotion sells a kit.

to get them out?

SIMPLE!

Get two nuts.

screw one on. Then screw the other one on and tighten them to each other like a samich...counter clockwise and out it comes.

Easy!

Unless you work on 2jz's, then all the studs have torx ends and you can just use a socket to remove them :)

I need to buy a full set of studs for the 2jz to put on my 7m, they're so much easier to work with.

give the 2j 10 years to catch up with a 7m, those torx heads will crumble just from looking at them too hard. :)

yeah.. only if you can find two nuts...

most likely you'll have to exhaust nuts though . i ran into a situation where they changed it to a standard nut and stud.. only 1 though..

Don't feal bad,
I have all sorts of odd-ball tools that I bought over the years,
that either I only used once, or I found a better way to do the job.
So they all sit in the tool box, or hang on the pegboard.
There only purpose is to collect dust..........

As the comercial says: "I could have had a V8 !",
then all I would have needed was a big hammer.........:naughty:

Wayne: LOL nah while the 2 nuts thing works I think it's nice having the correct tools for a job and in this case it's only $25 so not really worth not having em ;)

7m Fanatic's post rubbed me the wrong way like I was being foolish or a baller for spending the $.... :nono:
