Hey everyone I saw a bright blue 86.5-88 MKIII today in St. Cloud. Had aftermarket headlights of some sort and chrome MKIV wheels, looked amazing. Anybody seen it or know the owner? It was a guy who seemed more middle aged than the average Supra owner.
I saw the car when the owner stopped by Camille's sidewalk cafe (where I work).

Machine shop question:

So I decided not to sell the Supra, and go ahead with a rebuild again. My initial problem was that I put in a MHG but I could not machine the block. Well, I learned my lesson... I'm thinking about putting in a MHG, and while the engine is out, changing the oil pump and checking/changing any internal components of the block that need to be. The last time I machined the head i went to HeadWerks (Bloomington), and I was pretty satisfied with their work. My question is though: have any of you done a complete engine rebuild at HeadWerks, and how was the job? Also, what other place and people could you suggest who have done a complete engine rebuild and are very familiar with the 7M?

If you could give some cost estimates (labor, parts) that would help too.

Thanks ppl.

Moving on to new projects, I'll be selling my 89 soon to make room. It's turbo, targa, 5-spd, gray/gray, pretty much bone stock, needs some paint/body work and a few "little things". I'll make a more deatailed post soon, just wanted to see the local interest. Looking at roughly the $2-3K range and would like it gone fairly soon.

3rd Gen SBC (Small Block Chevy). You know, the Suburban, Corvette, GTO, Camaro, Firebird, SS Montecarlo (new ones), SS Trailblazer, G6 GTP, Silverado, Avalanche, Escalade etc motor.

Some of those are iron, some aluminum. The one in my Supra is an all aluminum LS6 (2002 Corvette Z06 Engine) rated at 405hp with 5.7L. It sits back further than the 7M and has to be atleast 100 pounds lighter than a 7M and turbo accessories.
