OK, just let me know a day or 2 ahead of time so I can throw them in my trunk. As far as your ECU, try my friends at Rightaway. They specialize in import car salvage. It's in Big Lake. I haven't been there this spring but in the past always had 3-4 Supras for me to pick apart when I have needed parts. Ask for Susie 763 263 7373

alright, sounds good. i'm not too worried about a little curb rash, as long as i can get a new tire on them. since one of mine's been broken.
thursday will be great, i just have to get everything worked out today with the buddy that's getting them for me.
hence the needing of the rim/tire and control arm, my supra is down as well
it's got an upgraded ct-26, too. it's a t3/t4 hybrid, and i've got intake, fluidyne radiator, and an apexi blow off valve, and a rebuilt, ported head, HKS metal head gasket, and ARP head bolts. nothing too major whatsoever yet, as we've been trying to figure out a fuel cut problem on it for the past year. finally ran out of ideas, and are gonna try and find a new ECU for it, since we think we fried it, haha.
I guess you could go 1JZ now with all the money spends. But I have an 87 and 89 turbo if you need to borrow.:naughty:

Hey guys,

Another infamous BHG help needed post... Decided to finally go the extra mile and get a Cometic MHG installed. I've almost removed the head, just a few bolts here and there and it should go right off. What I need help in is removing the block, as I am thinking that both the block and the head will need to go to the machine shop. Has anyone here had the block lapped while it's in the car? Thanks.

damn if you are going to remove the block and have it lap expect a delay of 2-4 months. Because once you taken out the block, You have to take the pistons, crank, pulley, waterpump and etc, out. I don't think any machine shop will take a short block. They will only machine a bare block.

Oh great...
Ways around this? MY car's in the garage being torn apart. Can I get a machinist to come here and do the job on the block (if the block needs work)? What did you guys do when putting a MHG?

Hey guys,

I need help removing the head from the block. I have removed everything else that I can think of, I guess I just need to pull the head off now. There's no way two people can actually lift the head off without using an engine puller, is there? If someone has an engine puller, and is willing to help out, that would be just great. Otherwise, I'm stuck... and too broke to buy anything :-(

Ok so the head can be pulled off without a machine. That's what I wanted to know. I was trying to lift it the other day and it just wouldn't budge, so I'm guessing something somewhere's still connected.
Thanks for the info.
