s far as my car goes have a 1 track mind. I forget about everything till it's fixed. I am pretty secure in the power steering pump. What I truley need to knoe is if there is any way to get the oil pan out without lifting the engine. I figure while the power steering pump is out, that should make for an opportune time to look into seeing if I can find a way to get it out. Again, i'm sorry if I ruffled feathers. But the bottom line is that i come here looking for help and sometimes the motivation to tackle something that I really know I have no business doing. I appreciate all of you that read my posts, wether you respond or not. thanks

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm pretty sure that it can be done. If I'm wrong and it can't be done, you can probably get it done by loosening the engine mounts and raising it a few inches. I think the manual has something about it... check it out. Hope this helps you out!

You would have to drop the front crossmember, but even then you are working upside down with oil dripping all over. If you want to pull the pan, and you are not working at a shop with a lift and lots of air tools, pulling the engine is really the easier way to go in the end.
