When trying to break a nut loose you can use a second wrench for additional leverage (see pic below). You can damage your wrenches doing this, but if you have craftsman or other lifetime guarantee tools, this may not be an issue.

Also, pb blaster and a little heat goes a long way.

Right definitley got its use. Wonder how long its been in there i bought the car with 134,6xx miles on it.

yeah it did and the flywheel has some hot spots im hoping that the machine shop will be able to fix it up pretty good :)

Ya They should if its not too bad. Looks like it got pretty hot.

Also make sure they machine the back step.

Hotspots aren't an issue, it's cracks that would be an issue.

Here's the one I junked (clutch slipped so bad I barely made it home). Notice the cracks:

I told them to do both parts :) so if they don't ill make sure they do.

Is it possible that this or the flywheel could have been my problem getting the car to redline under load? just kinda curious still on what my problem is on that still.

Poodles My clutch went completely out it wouldnt move or even stall in gear.

... When i got to the machine shop told em i needed my flywheel resurfaced they just took my number said they would call me when its done.

I said don't you need to know what kind of car it is for ? guy said not for a flywheel resurface and sent me on my way.... lol
