I ran this clutch a while back, and it plainly sux if you're going to drive it in traffic and such. I don't care how good or careful you say you are... You just can't make it smooth. You can't slip the clutch... You have to try like IJ said and get it going just enough and let it go and drive. You can go without killing your tranny if you're careful, but it will never be smooth.
The rear will be so jumpy when u try to slip it that it'll feel like you're ripping the driveshaft out. The more you try to slip it, the worst it gets. I think the wheels even jump off the ground with all that chatter. If you just ate and get in it, you may just loose your lunch. :3d_frown:
Having said that, it was the funnest clutch i had. I could kick the tail out form standstill by dropping the clutch at 2500rpms :naughty:
I had crankwalk after running this clutch on a brand new built engine with about 3k miles. When i opened it up, the thrust washers were on the bottom of the pan as expected, but the lip on the block that holds the washers up was also worn down so the block became useless. The pilot bearing was in pieces too in the hole.... As bad as the chattering was, it can't be good for the crank.
I rebuilt the bottom end again on a different block and clutch and been fine since.
Just my experience with it.
